Sonali Bank PLC achieved a record operating profit of Tk聽5,634 crore in 2024, which is Tk聽1,788 crore higher than the Tk聽3,846 crore reported in 2023.
In 2024, the bank鈥檚 deposits grew to Tk聽1,64,960 crore, an increase of Tk 14,342 crore compared with the previous year. Additionally, the net interest income rose to Tk 1,425 crore, marking a significant growth of Tk 949 crore from Tk 476 crore in 2023.
Classified loans increased by 3.66 per cent compared to the previous year, while the total disbursed loans declined by Tk 1,624 crore.
Sonali Bank managing director and CEO Md Shawkat Ali Khan disclosed the information at a press conference at the bank鈥檚 head office in Motijheel on Thursday.
