Four Bangladeshi players out of six reached Nepal on Sunday to feature in the inaugural edition of Nepal Kabaddi League to be held in Kathmandu from January 17 to February 1.
All-rounder Monirul Chodhury and defender Sabuz Mia will play for Pokhara Lakers, while another all-rounder, Yeasin Arafat, will play for Dhangadi Wild Cats and raider Mijanur Rahman for Kathmandu Mavericks.聽
The other two players, raider Shah Mohammad Shahan and defender Roman Hossain, who are scheduled to leave home on January 12, will play for the Himalayan Raiders.聽
Janakpur Knights and Biratnagar Bandits are the other two participating teams in the six-team league organised by the All Nepal Kabaddi Association.
The six Bangladeshi players secured their places in the franchise-based tournament during the NKL draft, held in Kathmandu on December 15, 2024.
