Consist Apparels Limited has become the first readymade garment factory this year to receive platinum LEED certification.
This recognition, awarded by the US Green Building Council, underscores the factory鈥檚 commitment to sustainability through energy efficiency, water conservation and waste reduction initiatives.
With this achievement, Bangladesh now boasts 233 LEED-certified factories, including 93 platinum and 126 gold-rated facilities, said former Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association director Mohiuddin Rubel.
This achievement aligns with Bangladesh鈥檚 ongoing push for greener practices in the textile and garment sectors.
