Graham Clark smashed a blistering hundred as Chittagong Kings clinched their fourth straight win when they beat Khulna Tigers by 45 runs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Thursday.Â
Chittagong posted 200-7 in 20 overs, their third 200-score of the season. Khulna then stumbled to 155-9 in 20 overs and, as a result, suffered their fourth consecutive defeat after winning the first two.Â
Chittagong, after putting into bat first, got the foundation thanks to a 63-ball 128-run second-wicket stand between Clark and Parvez Hossain (39 off 29).Â
The Englishman reached his hundred —sixth overall in this edition— in 48 balls and hit seven fours and six sixes in his 50-ball 101-run innings.Â
The home team at times were eyeing a well above 200 total, but Khulna bowlers restricted them in the death overs.Â
Khulna, in reply, scored 58 in the powerplay but lost three wickets. Soon they became 71-5 in the ninth over. Despite having a long batting line-up, Khulna never recovered from that.Â
Arafat Sunny took three while Khaled Ahmed and Shoriful Islam each took two for Chittagong.
