
The faculty of engineering of American International University-Bangladesh has recently organised the 4th International Conference on Robotics, Electrical, and Signal Processing Techniques 2025 at the AIUB in Dhaka.
The two-day conference began on January 11, said a press release on Friday.
The chief patron of the conference, Carmen Z Lamagna, AIUB board of trustees’ member, delivered welcome address, highlighting the significance of the conference in fostering innovation and research in the fields of robotics and electrical engineering.
The general chair of the conference, Professor ABM Siddique Hossain, dean, faculty of engineering, AIUB, provided an overview of the conference objectives and its expected impact on the academic and research community.
Professor Celia Shahnaz delivered an insightful speech on behalf of Professor Mohammed Moshiul Hoque, chair of the IEEE Bangladesh section, emphasising the crucial role of IEEE in fostering advancements in technological research and education.
Chief guest of the conference Professor Saiful Islam, vice-chancellor, AIUB, officially inaugurated the event with an inspiring speech on the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
The conference featured eight keynote speeches, one invited speech, and 16 technical sessions spread across eight tracks.
With 265 submitted papers from 365 authors across seven countries and four continents, the event underscored its international significance.
The event concluded with a closing ceremony at the AIUB, marking the grand finale of 4th ICREST’25. This was followed by a series of engaging segments, including a reflection on 4th ICREST’25 moments, cultural performances and an appreciation video, showcasing the journey and accomplishments of the ICREST.
A key highlight of the closing ceremony was the inspiring speech by Hasanul A Hasan, founder BoT member of AIUB, who praised the dedication of the organising team and emphasised the importance of innovation and collaboration in shaping the future.
