At least 10 people were killed in road accidents in Chattogram, Gopalganj, Dhaka and Barishal on Friday.
抖阴精品 staff correspondent in Chattogram reported that three people were killed when a bus rammed into a motorcycle on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Mirsarai of Chattogram.
Borhan Uddin, sub-inspector of Jorarganj Highway police station, said that the deceased were Rubel Barua, 40, Sani Barua, 40, and Nipu Barua, 38, all hailed from Barua Para of Mayani Union in the upazila.
The victims were returning home on a motorcycle after attending a wedding reception when an unidentified vehicle struck them, leaving the trio died on the spot, added Borhan Uddin.聽
Three people were killed as an unidentified bus hit a motorcycle in Hiranyakandi area on the Dhaka-Khulna highway of Kashiani in Gopalganj early Friday, said M Rakibuzzaman, officer-in-charge of Bhanga highway police station.
The deceased were motorcyclist Hridoy Mrida, 18, and two pillion riders Dipu Das, 18, and Bishal Nag, 19, reported Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha.
Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Dhaka鈥檚 Kalshi, Mohammadpur and Hatirjheel areas early Friday, said Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost in-charge Mohammad Faruk.
The deceased were Mohammad Siam, 15, Mohammad Adam Ali, 55, and Afzal Mollah, 20.
Siam and his friend were injured after the motorcycle was hit by a truck at Kalshi in Mirpur. Siam was later declared dead after reaching to the DMCH.
Mohammad Adam Ali was killed and three of his family members were injured in a collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto rickshaw at Asad Gate in Mohammadpur area.
Afzal Mollah died in a collision between two motorcycles in Hatirjheel area.
The incident occurred at about 4:00pm on Hatirjheel Bridge, leaving him injured. Later, he was declared dead at DMCH.
Meanwhile, a truck driver was killed and seven others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Bakerganj of Barishal, 抖阴精品 correspondent in Barishal reported.
The accident occurred in front of Sundarban Courier Service adjacent to Bakerganj bus stand on the Barishal-Kuakata highway, leaving the truck driver Mahbub Hossain, 45, injured.
