Durbar Rajshahi on Monday announced pacer Taskin Ahmed as the captain of the side in place of Anamul Haque for the remainder of the Bangladesh Premier League.
‘Experienced pacer Taskin is our new captain for the remaining matches in the ongoing BPL,’ Rajshahi stated in a press release.

Under Anamul's captaincy, Rajshahi won three matches in eight games and are currently in fifth position on the points table.
Anamul has been in top form in the tournament, already making 324 runs in eight matches that put him in the second spot in the batting chart behind Tanzid Hasan Tamim's 330.
He struck a century in the last match but still couldn't resist the side's seven-run defeat to Khulna Tigers.
Rajshahi needed 17 runs in the last over to chase down Khulna's mammoth 209-4 with Anamul on strike, but he couldn't amass the required runs to win the game for the side.
Instead he completed his century by taking a single on the last ball when his side's defeat was confirmed.
‘Captaincy burden was taken off from him [Anamul] so that he can concentrate more on his batting,’ the Rajshahi press release added.

Taskin, meanwhile, is also in top form, having claimed the tournament's highest 18 wickets in eight matches so far.
