Bangladesh Navy in a joint operation at Baharchhara union of Teknaf upazila in Cox鈥檚 Bazar detained 20 people, including human trafficking victims and Rohingyas, on Tuesday.
A press release of Directorate of the Inter-Services Public Relations said that one of the detained was human trafficker, two were Bangladeshi nationals and 17 were forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals.
The detained people were on the way to go to Malaysia illegally. They were handed over to Teknaf police station later, the ISPR release added.
