Mercantile Bank Training Institute has organised a daylong workshop on 鈥楶revention of money laundering and combating financing against terrorism鈥� at its premises recently, said a press release.
Officials from various branches and division participated in the workshop.
Mercantile Bank PLC managing director Mati Ul Hasan inaugurated the workshop.
In his address, Matiul advised participating officers to strictly adhere with the AML and CFT guidelines in all areas of banking operations.
MBL deputy managing director and CAMLCO Shamim Ahmed and DMD and head of ICCD Ashim Kumar Saha also spoke at the inaugural session.
MBL DCAMLCO and head of AML and CFT division Lopita Mannan along with faculties of the training institute conducted the training modules. Javed Tariq, principal of the training institute, moderated the inaugural programme and conducted sessions at the training.
