Leaders of the Bhashani Onusari Parishad, a partner of the Ganatantra Mancha, on Wednesday called on the political parties to form national unity to resist Indian aggression in the border areas between Bangladesh and India.

They made the call at a protest rally organised by the Parishad in front of the National Press Club in the capital Dhaka to mark the anniversary of home coming day of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani from India on January 22, 1972 after the War of Independence in 1971.


Convener of the Parishad Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu said, ‘The Indian Border Security Force is continuing aggression in the border areas and killing innocent Bangladeshi people.’

He called on all political parties to form national unity to resist the Indian aggression in the border areas.

Central leaders of the Parish-ad Babul Biswas, Jamil Ahmed, Nuruzzaman Hira, among others, spoke at the rally.

The rally was followed by a procession that paraded different city roads.
