Border Guard Bangladesh seized a huge consignment of smuggled goods worth over Tk 5 crore in Sylhet and Sunamganj borders on Friday.
聽The BGB personnel of Bisnakani, Sripur, Kalasadek, Damdamia, Sangrampunji, Sonarhat, Banglabazar, Labia and Lafarge border outposts under the BGB 48 Battalion in Sylhet and Sunamganj conducted separate drives and seized the goods smuggled in the country from India.
The goods are including sugar, blankets, clothes, cosmetics, medicines, chocolates, oranges, apples and cattle worth around Tk 5,22,16,700, the BGB officials said.
The BGB 48 Battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Md Hafizur Rahman said that taking legal steps in this regard were underway as par the rules.
