A three-day event celebrating children’s creativity titled The Kids Time Fair began on the Shishu Academy premises in Dhaka on Friday.

Tahmina Rahman, founder of the Kids Time, inaugurated the event by releasing balloons, accompanied by children, said a press release.

The fifth edition of the fair is featuring Goofi’s puppet show, magic show, and special games focusing on nutrition and safe food, said the organisers.

Children are also performing dance, songs, and poetry recitations at the event.

Supported by various partners, Grameen Danone Shokti as nutrition partner, ToguMogu as parenting partner, Polar as ice cream partner, Dettol as hygiene partner, Chopstick as snacks partner, Paper Fly as logistics partner, and Goofi World as entertainment partner, around 10,000 children of different ages, along with their guardians, attended the opening day of the fair.

Sponsored by Grameen Danone Shokti, in the Creative Zone, children engaged in various arts and crafts activities, while the Healthy Zone offered fun games, gifts, doodle boards, and photo booths.

Children also had the chance to print on-demand t-shirts.

Mentioning that the fair has been designed not only for children but also for parents, Tahmina Rahman said, ‘This event aims to bring together different brands and initiatives focused on the education, health, and well-being of children aged 3 to 12.’

She emphasised that one of the goals of the fair was to inform parents about creativity, safe food, and nutrition.
