
Security forces detained two suspected members of ethnic armed group Kuki-Chin National Front during a special drive at Keplongpara area under Ruma upazila in Bandarban district Monday morning.
The Inter Services Public Relations Directorate said that the KNF members were arrested after the security forces cordoned off a secret place at about 6:30am on the day.
The security forces detained Bhan Mun Lom Bawm, 42, and Philip Khiyang, 36, while they were trying to flee from the spot, the ISPR added.
The ISPR claimed that the detainees were involved in various criminal activities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts area and sometimes involved in activities against the law enforcement agencies.
