
The BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology hosted the Hult Prize 2025 grand final and inaugurated the two-day National Entrepreneurship Expo on the BUFT campus in Dhaka on Tuesday, said a press release.
The expo is featuring 35 dynamic stalls showcasing the entrepreneurial stories and products of teams from 13 universities, sponsored by Nestle and Savora.
In collaboration with the BUFT Business Club and the department of business administration students, the event was organised with the support of Lalamove, Aryan Fashion, and PeopleNTech.
The event highlighted the prestigious Hult Prize grand final. Competing teams aimed to represent BUFT at the regional summits and vie for the $1 million global prize.
The opening session of the BUFT National Entrepreneurship Expo and grand final of the Hult Prize 2025 was graced by chief guest Faruque Hassan, chairman of BUFT’s board of trustees, and guest of honour Professor Ayub Nabi Khan, acting vice-chancellor of the university.
Professor Md Muinuddin Khan, dean of the faculty of business studies, served as the master of ceremony. A panel of esteemed judges, including BUFT faculty members and industry leaders such as Professor SM Akterujjaman, head of business administration department; Md Kamrul Hasan, professor of business administration department; Andi M Rizki, managing director of Lalamove, and entrepreneur Md Ashraful Hoque, assessed the participants’ innovative solutions.
The grand final of the Hult Prize 2025 highlighted six remarkable teams, with Denim Revive crowned as champion, CantroMantro as the 1st runner-up, and Team Viscose as 2nd Runner-up. All three teams have the opportunity to represent BUFT at the Regional Summits.
