A couple was burnt to death in a fire that broke out at their kitchen in Hatiya upazila of Noakhali district.
The deceased are Nimai Chandra Majumder and his wife Milon Bala, resident of Jorkhali village under Burirchar union of the upazila.
The fire broke out from a gas stove at Nimai Chnadra鈥檚 house early Friday. Most of the body parts of Nimai and his wife were burnt as they were in sleep when the fire broke out.
Local people took them to Upazila health complex in critical condition, said officer-in-charge of Hatia police station AKM Ajmal Huda.
Nimai died to his injuries at about 5:00pm Friday on way to Dhaka for better treatment, while his wife Milon Bala died at night.
