The department of mass communication and journalism of Bangladesh University of Professionals organised the closing and prize distribution ceremony of the two-day ‘BUP Film Fest-2025’ at the Bijoy Auditorium of the university in Dhaka on Sunday.
The festival featured different film-related issues for young filmmakers, said a press release.
In the festival, 450 participants from 40 public and private universities contended in six categories named Short Film, Cosplay, Script Writing, Documentary, AD Making and Cine Quiz.
BUP vice-chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, was present as chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
Film actor of ‘90s, Khawaja Naim Murad, was present as special guest. Among others, BUP high officials, faculty members and students were also present in the ceremony.
