The Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology has recently held an inauguration ceremony for its new bus service, aimed at enhancing transportation facilities for students, in Dhaka.

This initiative is a step forward in ensuring a more efficient, comfortable, and accessible commuting system within and beyond the university premises, said a press release.


AUST board of trustees chairman and Dhaka Ahsania Mission president, Professor Golam Rahman, attended the programme as chief guest.

He emphasised the university鈥檚 commitment to student welfare and sustainable transportation.

Professor Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, AUST pro-vice-chancellor, spoke as guest of honour and Professor Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, AUST treasurer, spoke as special guest at the programme, which was chaired by AUST vice-chancellor Professor M Ashraful Hoque.

AUST faculty of engineering dean Professor Md Mahmudur Rahman, faculty of architecture dean Professor Jasmin Ara Begum, faculty of business and social science dean Professor SM Shafiful Alam, proctor Professor Md Ashrafur Rahman, among others, were present at the programme.

The newly launched buses were showcased, and a brief demonstration ride was conducted for attendees.
