The 2-day ‘Shah Abdul Karim Lok Utsab 2025’ is scheduled to be held on the bank of the Kalni River at Ujandhal village of Derai in Sunamganj on February 7.
Shah Abdul Karim Parishad will organise the festival to celebrate the anniversary of birth of the legendary folk bard Shah Abdul Karim, which will be supported by mobile financial services provider bKash, said a press release on Tuesday. Â
President of ‘Shah Abdul Karim Parishad’ and also the son of the folk bard, Shah Nur Jalal, came up with the details of the festival at a press conference in Sunamganj city recently.
Addressing the press conference, he said that the two-day festival would feature discussions and captivating musical performances by renowned folk singers to honour the timeless folk songs of Shah Abdul Karim.
Music enthusiasts from all over the country are expected to join the event, making it a successful festival, supported by bKash, added the press release.
