Jubiadul Haque Robin and Naeem Ahmed Shuvo have been elected president and general secretary of the SUST Press Club, a platform for journalists covering the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
Robin is the campus correspondent for Jugantor, while Shuvo represents Manabzamin.
The club鈥檚 annual election took place on Thursday at 11:00am in the campus press club office.
Chief election commissioner SUST industrial and production department professor Mohammad Iqbal, along with election commissioners professor Md Saiful Islam and professor Md Abdul Hamid, conducted the polls. Results were announced at about 3:00pm after vote counting.
Other office bearers of the 9-member executive committee are vice-president Adnan Ridoy of Dainik Odhikar, joint secretary Abdur Rahim Kabir of the regional daily Jaintabarta, treasurer Sagor Hasan Shuvro of Ittefaq, office secretary Nur Alam of bdnews24.com and executive member Shaikat Mahabub of Jaijaidin, Md Mufajjal聽Haque of the regional daily Sylhet Bani and Sagor Hosen Jahid of Dainik Jagrata Sylhet.
