Maruf Hasan and Ozaifa Khatun secured the titles of fastest men and women in the 100m race, respectively as the Festival of Youth Inter-Division Athletics Competition 2025 concluded at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Maruf, representing the Chittagong Divisional Sports Association clocked 11.47 seconds in electronic timing to cross the distance while Ozaifa of Rajshahi Divisional Sports Association took 13.49 seconds.
Khulna Divisional Sports Association emerged as the overall champions of the competition, securing 15 medals鈥攆ive gold, three silver, and seven bronze, while Chittagong Division finished runners-up with 12 medals 鈥� five gold, three silver, four bronze.
A total of 224 athletes from eight divisional teams, each comprised of 28 athletes, split into two groups competed in 18 events -10 for men and eight for women of the competition.
Bangladesh Athletics Federation president Major General Nayeem Ashfaque Chowdhury earlier inaugurated the day-long final stage of the competition as the chief guest.
