Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University held a meeting to introduce online appointments in the outpatient department at the university in Dhaka on Monday.
The meeting was held at the conference room of the BSMMU鈥檚 Super Specialised Hospital, said a press release.
In order to improve the quality of medical services in the outpatient department, reduce the suffering of patients, avoid unnecessary crowding, save time of patients, avoid the hassle of collecting tickets in long queues and ensure improved and satisfactory medical services to patients, the BSMMU administration has taken the online appointments initiative for patients coming to the outpatient department, added the press release.
This programme will start soon and will be fully implemented step by step.
The meeting was attended by vice-chancellor of the BSMMU Professor Dr Md Shahinul Alam, pro-VC for administration Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad, pro-VC for research and development Professor Dr Md Mujibur Rahman Howlader, treasurer Professor Dr Nahrin Akhtar, registrar Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam, IT cell in-charge Professor Dr AKM Akhtaruzzaman and system analyst Md Maruf Hossain, among others.
