The Physically-Challenged Development Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering young people with disabilities, on Monday announced its new 21-member executive committee for the Dhaka University unit (DUPDF).

Ibnu Ahmed from the department of peace and conflict studies was appointed as the new president, while Shakhuat Hossain from the institute of social welfare and research would serve as the general secretary of DUPDF.

In the past year, the organisation was officially registered as a TSC-based club, granting the DU unit formal recognition for its impactful work and further strengthening its mission.

Founded in 2008 at Jahangirnagar University, PDF has since expanded to establish two additional units at Jagannath University and Rajshahi University, said a press release.

The organisation actively works to improve the lives of young people with disabilities by promoting employment, ensuring accessibility and providing essential academic and social support.
