Bangladesh Bank officials on Thursday strongly condemned attack on Muhammad Badiuzzaman Didar, administrator of Nagad.
Didar, who is a director of the central bank, was assaulted by unidentified goons on Wednesday. Didar was appointed at scam-hit Nagad as administrator on August 21, 2024 after dissolving its board.
On Thursday, Bangladesh Bank Officers鈥� Welfare Council organised a protest rally and human chain demanding immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those responsible for the attack.
The attack on Muhammad Badiuzzaman Didar took place on Wednesday afternoon on Banani road no 12 in the capital.
He sustained injuries in the assault, during which the attackers also vandalised his car with hammers. His driver was seriously injured in the attack.
