Chief of army staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman on Sunday left Dhaka for Kuwait on a 3-day official visit, an Inter Services Public Relation Directorate release said.
The army chief will lead a five-member delegation to the Middle Eastern country as he will make courtesy meetings with high profile civil and military officials of the Kuwait government.
Waker-Uz-Zaman will also exchange views for developing military related bilateral cooperation, according to the ISPR.
The visit is expected to further strengthen the relations with Kuwait armed forces along with reinforcing confidence of Bangladeshi members engaged in Operation Kuwait Rebuilding, and employment of skilled manpower in Kuwait from Bangladesh.
