A 20-year-old man鈥檚 body has been recovered from the River Buriganga after being missing for four days.
The deceased was identified as Arman, a resident of Sunibir Housing in the Adabor area. Bosila River Police recovered the body on Monday night in a floating state, said Keraniganj Model Police Station officer-in-charge Sohorab Al Hasan on Tuesday.
Arman had been reported missing since Thursday. Despite extensive searches, his whereabouts remained unknown until the discovery of his body by Basila River Police.
Arman used to work for a private courier service company in Dhaka, the OC said.
Following the discovery, Arman鈥檚 family identified the body at the Bosila Police Station. The indicated signs of head injuries suggested that he had been murdered, said police.
A murder case was filed with the Adabor Police Station, and investigations are ongoing. The body was sent to Mitford Hospital for post-mortem examinations, added the OC.
