Two workers were killed in an explosion at Rahimafrooz factory in Birulia of Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Oliur Rahman and Hoyjuddin.
Jewel Mia, officer-in-charge of Savar Model police station, said a goods-laden vehicle arrived at the factory from Dhaka in the morning.
At one stage, a battery exploded inside the factory while unloading the goods on the truck from Dhaka in the afternoon, leaving two workers killed on the spot.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The police are investigating the incident and action will be taken on the basis of the investigation, said the OC.
