Leaders of Garment Sramik Oikya Forum, a garment workers鈥� rights body, on Tuesday at a press conference demanded immediate release of its Ashulia thana committee president Khorshed Alam and Beximco garment factory workers as well as resolution to crisis of the factories.
Garments Sramik Oikya Forum made the demands at the press conference held at Dhaka Reporters Unity.
The organisation president, Mushrefa Mishu, called on the interim government to fulfil its five-point demand including release of its leaders, withdrawal of聽 baseless cases filed against the leaders, introduction of the rationing system for the garment workers from where they could buy essential commodities at cheaper prices.
General secretary of the organization, Shahidul Islam Sabuj, assistant general secretary Amena Akter Asha, Ashulia thana unit general secretary Zaglul Pasha and Ratna Begum, wife of arrested leader Khorshed Alam, and others were present at the press conference.
