At least five people, including a teenager, were killed in road accidents in Lalmonirhat, Dhaka, Munshiganj and Jhenaidah on Friday.

The 抖阴精品 correspondent in Lalmonirhat reported that a motorcyclist and his niece were killed when a Dhaka-bound Navila Paribahan bus hit them on the Lalmonirhat-Burimari highway at Aditmari in Lalmonirhat.


The deceased were Ramzan Ali Kalu, 40, and his niece Khadija Kobratul Khushi, 25.

Aditmari police station officer-in-charge Akbar Ali said that the accident left Ramzan Ali dead on the spot while Khadija died on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

A teenager died after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit an auto-rickshaw in Moynar Tek area of Dakshinkhan in Dhaka.

The deceased, Mohammad Mostakim, 14, was a student of class VIII at Dakshinkan Brighton School and College.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost in-charge Mohammad Faruq said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.

The 抖阴精品 correspondent in Munshiganj reported that a truck driver was killed and his assistant injured when another truck hit their standing vehicle in front of the Padma Bridge north police station under Louhajang of the district.

The deceased, Hafizur Rahman, 40, was a resident of Bagura village under Kaliganj in Satkhira district, said Dewan Azad Hossain, station officer of Srinagar Fire Service.

He said that the accident occurred while Hafizur was repairing the vehicle.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha reported that a motorcyclist was killed when a truck hit his vehicle at Bishyakhali Bazar in Jhenaidah Sadar.

Sabyasachi Roy, 45, a resident of Brahmaputra village under Monirampur in Jashore, died on the spot, said Abdullah Al Mamun, officer-in-charge of Jhenaidah Sadar police station.
