Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan climbed to the top spot in the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Women鈥檚 League as they beat Khalaghar Shamaj Kalyan Shamity by 36 runs at the ULAB Cricket Ground on Saturday.

BKSP made 193-10 in 47 overs after Farzana Yeasmin鈥檚 late 37 from 41 deliveries and opener Sumaiya Akter Suborna contributed 30 off 42. Left-arm spinner Shanu claimed 4-38.


However, Khalaghar stumbled to 157 in 49 overs. Jamila Akter Rumy played a gritty 79-ball 36 and skipper KhadizaTul Kubra scored an unbeaten 24.

But U-19 all-rounder Nishita Akter took three and Farzana Yeasmin scalped two to help BKSP secure their fourth win in five matches.

In the day鈥檚 second match at the Bashundhara Sports Complex, Abahani Limited secured a 52-run victory over Kalabagan Krira Chakra, who are still searching for their first win.

Farazana Haque Pinky (59) carried her rich vein of form and registered another fifty to help Abahani post 224-6 in allotted overs after opting to bat first.

In reply, Misty Rani Saha scored 80 off 103, but it all went in vain as Khalaghar were restricted to 172 in 46.2 overs. Right-arm pacer Briste Das took 3-21.
