Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Saturday launched an online appointment service to ensure smooth medical services for its outpatient department.
By logging into the BSMMU website, www.bsmmu.ac.bd, patients can book online appointments to get medical consultation services as per their needs, said a press release, adding that patients would no longer have to stand in a queue for buying tickets at the BSMMU OPD.
BSMMU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Shahinul Alam said that it had become essential to introduce online appointments in the outpatient department to improve the quality of services, ensure facilities for patients coming to the outpatient department of BSMMU.
BSMMU pro-VC for Administration Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad, pro-VC for research and development Professor Dr Md Mujibur Rahman Howlader, treasurer Professor Dr Nahrin Akhtar, registrar Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam, among others, were present at the inaugural ceremony.
