Some left political parties including the Communist Party of Bangladesh on Wednesday expressed concern over failures of the interim government to control the law and order situation of the countries.

The party leaders in separate press statements alleged that the interim government had failed to stop extrajudicial killings and mob attacks in the country.


Communist Party of Bangladesh president Mohammad Shah Alam and general secretary Ruhin Hossain Prince in a press statement said that although the interim government was committed to control law and order and stop mob attacks in the county, they failed to control the situation.

The incidents of extrajudicial killings and mob attacks were happening in different places of the country.

They called on the interim government to take immediate steps to improve law and order of the country.

Revolutionary Communist League general secretary Iqbal Kabir Jahid in a press statement demanded resignation of home adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury for his failure to the control law and order situation of the country.

Bangladesh Jasod president Sharif Nurul Ambia and general secretary Nazmul Haque Prodhan in a press statement said that the motto of student-led July mass uprising would not be fulfilled if the interim government failed to control the law and order situation of the country.聽

Anti-Fascism Left Alliance, a combine of six left political parties, also expressed its concern over failures of the interim government to control the law and order situation and price hikes of the essential commodities.

Chaired by Nasiruddin Nasu, the central steering committee meeting of the alliance on Tuesday called on the interim government to ensure safety and security of the people.
