Rumana Ahmed scored a hundred and took 5-13 to propel Mohammedan Sporting Club back to the top spot in the Dhaka Premier Division Women鈥檚 League with a crushing 189-run win against Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity at the Bashundhara Sports Complex on Thursday.

Mohammedan made 250-4 in 50 overs thanks to Rumana (100* off 126), who came to bat at four, and Sharmin Akter (66). In reply, Khelaghar stumbled to 61 all out in 29.2 overs, where Rumana was the wrecker in chief.


In another match, Farzana Haque top-scored with 79 runs after opting to bat first and then the bowlers helped Abahani to defend 166 runs to secure a 22-run win against BKSP at BKSP-1.

BKSP, though, kept losing wickets at regular intervals to finally finish on 144 in 46.3 overs.

Rupa Roy took 3-22 while Reya Akter grabbed 2-28 for Abahani.

In the other game, Gulshan Youth Club thrashed Bangladesh Police by six wickets at the ULAB Cricket Ground.

Police were skittled out for just 69 runs in 25.5 overs, with Ritu Moni and Anisa Akter each claiming three wickets, conceding 15 and 1 run, respectively. Gulshan, then successfully chased down the target in 19.1 overs.
