Fifty-six fishermen who were detained by the members of Myanmar Navy released on Thursday.
Commanding officer of Teknaf Border Guard Bangladesh-2 battalion, Ashikur Rahman, said that on Wednesday, Myanmar Navy detained 56 Bangladeshi fishermen along with six trawlers from the Bay of Bengal at gun-point.
Myanmar Navy released the fishermen on Thursday morning but kept the trawlers and nets, he added.
