
Mild heatwave is lashing parts of the country and it may continue, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
‘Mild heatwave is sweeping Dhaka, Faridpur, Manikganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Rangamati,Khulna, Bagerhat, Jashore, Chuadanga and Patuakhali and it may continue,’ said a Met office bulletin on Monday.
Besides, BMD predicted rains, thundershowers and lightning flashes in five divisions of the country.
‘Rain or thunder showers or lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places,’ said the bulletin.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
