A youth was stabbed to death allegedly over a previous enmity at Savar in Dhaka on Tuesday night.
The deceased, Sultan Hossain Sagar, 22, hailed from Majhirga village under Ramganj in Lakshmipur. He worked for a dyeing house in the Savar's Dagarmora area.
The police said that a group of six to seven youths called in him from his house and locked into an altercation over the previous enmity around 11:30pm on Tuesday.
At one stage, the rivals stabbed him with sharp weapons, leaving him critically injured.
Later, people of the area took him to Enam Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Savar model police station鈥檚 officer-in-charge Jewel Mia said that the previous enmity led to the killing and they were trying to arrest those involved with the murder.
A case was filed in this connection, the OC added.
