The Bangladesh national football team reached India on Thursday to face hosts in the third round of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong, Meghalaya, on March 25.

Meanwhile, Spanish coach Javier Cabrera has selected a 24-man squad for the match against India, leaving out forwards Arif Hossain, Piash Ahmed Nova and defender Taj Uddin.

Forward Al-Amin and Sheffield United midfielder Hamza Choudhury are the new faces in the squad.

The Spaniard earlier dropped Italy-based Bangladeshi midfielder Fahamedul Islam, while defender Sushanto Tripura and midfielder Papon Singh were ruled out with injury from the original 30-member provisional squad.
