The Staff Association of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology organised an iftar party and general meeting at the Central Auditorium of CUET in Chattogram on Thursday.
Vice-Chancellor of CUET, Professor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, was present as chief guest at the programme, said a press release.
Professor GM Sadiqul Islam, president of the CUET Teachers鈥� Association, and Engineer Syed Mohammad Ikram, president of the Officers鈥� Association, were present as special guests at the programme.聽
Hafez Maulana Qari Nurullah, senior chief imam of CUET Central Mosque, was present as chief discussant at the programme.
Presided over by Mohammad Jamal, president of the CUET Staff Association, Biswajit Bhattacharya, general secretary of association, delivered welcome speech at the programme, which was moderated by Abdul Al Hannan, adviser to the association.
In the meeting, an election commission was formed with professor of mechanical engineering department and former president of CUET Teachers鈥� Association, Professor Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem, as head, on the occasion of the upcoming election of the association.
The other members of the commission are Mohammad Fazlur Rahman, Sagar Talukder, Mohammad Saber and Md Fazlul Haque.
