Apparel manufacturer Gildan has recently organised iftar distribution programmes among the underprivileged people at different places in Dhaka and Chattogram.
Gildan employees participated in the event in collaboration with the JAAGO Foundation
and Volunteer for Bangladesh, said a press release on Thursday.
The iftar meal packets were distributed in three key locations in Gulshan, Dhaka on March 17, in AK Khan Road, Chattogram on March 19 and in Savar, Dhaka on March 21.
These meal offered a balanced diet, included a heavy meal along with plums, dates, bananas, yogurt, and water, ensuring that beneficiaries鈥攍ow-income families, daily wage earners, and individuals facing economic hardship鈥攃ould break their fast with dignity.
This initiative was made possible by the dedication of more than 350 Gildan employees, alongside 95 participants from JAAGO and VBD, who came together to distribute meals and engage directly with the communities in need.
