A group of unidentified youths beat up two journalists in Bogura city on Sunday.
The injured are the district correspondent of Maasranga Television Khorshed Alam and the senior staff reporter of the online news portal www.boguralive.com Ashafuddulla Neon.
Khorshel Alam told 抖阴精品 when they came out of a juice shop at Lamamba Mor in the Jaleswari Tola area of Bogura city on Sunday afternoon, a group of 10-12 unidentified youths approached them and asked who was Ashafuddulla Neon among them.
鈥楤efore we could understand anything, the attackers started beating us. After we started screaming, the attackers eventually fled,鈥� he said, adding that they took treatment from Bogra 250 bed Mohammad Ali District Hospital after the incident.
Zedan Al Musa, superintendent of Bogura district police, said that upon receiving news of the attack on the journalists, the police visited the scene and collected CCTV footage from the surrounding area. 鈥楳ultiple police teams are working to quickly identify and arrest the attackers,鈥� he added.
