The police on Monday recovered the decomposed body of a man at his rented house in Gazipur.
The deceased, Al Amin, 35, was a resident of Pakuria Fakirpara area of Sherpur.
Basan police station sub-inspector Dulal Chandra said that Al Amin, who used to live in the rented house in Gazipur鈥檚 Chandana village, was missing since March 31.
People of the area found his decomposed body. His neck was wrapped in a towel, said Dulal Chandra, adding that the police sent it to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue.
It is primarily believed that Al Amin was strangled to death by wrapping a towel around his neck between April 1 and 7, Dulal said.
鈥楾he cause of the death will be confirmed after autopsy report. Regarding the incident, legal action is underway,鈥� he said.
