Bangladesh Medical University held a ghayebana janaza, funeral prayer in the absence of a body, protesting against Israel鈥檚 mass killing in Gaza, on the premises of the central mosque of the university in Dhaka on Tuesday.
A protest march titled March for Gaza was taken out and a protest rally was held on the university campus, said a press release.聽
The BMU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Shahinul Alam said that Israel鈥檚 barbaric attack on the common people of Palestine, including Gaza continued. 鈥楴o one is spared from their attack. Israel is committing indiscriminate genocide in Palestine.鈥�
Pro-VC for administration Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad and pro-VC for reesearch and development Professor Dr Md Mujibur Rahman Howlader, among others, spoke at the rally.
