
The Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations are beginning today on Thursday across the country.
On the first day, examinations will be held on Bangla (compulsory) first paper and Easy Bangla first paper subjects under the nine general boards, Quran Majid and Tazvid subject under the madrassah board and Bangla (2) subject under the technical board.
This is the first public examination under the present interim government.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Wednesday in a public notice banned the entry of anyone except for the candidates and others concerned within 200 yards of the exam centres during the exams.
The ban had been imposed for holding the exams in a proper and peaceful environment, it added.
The education ministry has already opened a control room to coordinate the exam related information in the Secondary and Higher Education Division office at the secretariat.
The ministry has also formed nine vigilance teams to monitor the exams and take legal action in cases of any violation of the laws, including question paper leakage.聽聽聽
The theoretical part of the examinations will be concluded on May 13 after which the practical part of the examinations will be held between May 15 and 22.
This year 19,28,181 examinees are taking the SSC and the equivalent examinations.
This year the examinations will be held on full syllabus, on all subjects and full number with the duration of each exam will be three hours from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
The examination centres will be under continuous monitoring, while examinees with disabilities will be allowed to have an assistant each and extra 30 minutes to finish exams.
Dhaka Education Board chairman Professor Khondokar Ehsanul Kabir told 抖阴精品 that the injured victims of the July mass uprising would get the facilities as per the rules.
The examinees have been requested to enter their respective examination halls 30 minutes before the starting time and no one except the examination secretary will be allowed to carry cell phones.
All coaching centres across Bangladesh would remain closed during the examinations to check question leaks, said education ministry officials.
