Masuma Habib said that government college teachers were conducting good quality research. ‘They are also playing a role in nation-building by creating new knowledge like university teachers. These teachers should be properly evaluated and their database needs to be created.’Â
In order to improve the quality of research in the country, initiatives should be taken to conduct research from the college level, said Fakhrul Islam, adding, ‘For a new Bangladesh, emphasis should be placed on research, innovation, creativity, critical thinking and communication strategies.’
