A section of the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service examination written examinees in Dhaka on Thursday blocked a road between the Bangladesh Public Service Commission and the Election Commission for delaying the examination.  

The protesters blocked the road at about 4:00pm for an hour before the joint forces, including the Bangladesh Army, dispersed them, said the police.


Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station officer-in-charge Md Ahad Ali said that the joint forces dispersed them for easing public sufferings.

‘The process of dispersing was peaceful. None of the joint forces charged any batons or used force. We have detained three protesters at the spot and they were released later,’ the OC said.

Meanwhile, among the participants of the 46th BCS written test on mandatory subjects, who are waiting for the viva voce of the 44th BCS, their examinations will be suspended and will be taken later, said a written handout issued by the press information department on Thursday.
