
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rains at some places in five divisions including Chattogram of the country in next 24 hours commencing 9:00am on Friday.
‘Rains or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,’ said a Met office bulletin.
During this period, weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Besides, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Sirajganj, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Feni, Chattogram and Patuakhali and it may abate from some places, reads the bulletin.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Meanwhile, the Low-pressure area over westcentral Bay and adjoining area persists at 06 am Friday. It is likely to move north-northeastwards and weaken gradually over central Bay during next 12 hours.
A trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area.
