At least five people were killed and 10 others injured in road accidents in Bogura, Feni and Habiganj districts between Thursday night and Friday.聽聽聽

Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha reported that two people were killed when a passenger bus collided with a van on the Bogura-Naogaon road near Narhatta Vepra in Kahalu upazila of Bogura on Friday morning.


The victims are Nur Alam, 50, of Shikor village, and Mofazzal Hossen, 36, of Paikor Panjapara village-both from Kahalu upazila.

According to police, while transporting Mofazzal from Bibirpukur to his home, the van driven by Nur had a mechanical failure and was then rammed by a bus coming from Naogaon, leaving Nur dead on the spot.聽

Mofazzal was found critically injured near Kaliyar Pukur, with one of his hands severed, and later he was pronounced dead by Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital doctors.

Kahalu police officer-in-charge Abdul Hannan said that the bodies were handed over to their families.

抖阴精品 Correspondent in Feni reported that two people were killed when a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the Sharifpur area at Daganbhuiyan upazila in Feni on Thursday night.

The deceased are Nazrul Islam, 30, of Dakshin Chanpur village, who was the driver of the CNG-run auto-rickshaw, and Rajib, 23, son of the DudhMukha area, who was the passenger.聽

The incident took place at around 8:00pm and the vehicles were seized, said Daganbhuiyan police station OC Mohammad Lutfor Rahman.聽

The BSS reported a woman was killed and 10 others were injured when a bus overturned at a place in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj last night.

The deceased is Lutfa Begum, 55, a resident of Damti village under Debidwar upazila in Cumilla district.

Bahubal Model Police Station OC Zahidul Islam said that the accident took place at around 11:00pm when a Narayanganj-bound bus lost control and overturned on the road in the Mukhkandi area along the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway.
