Wasi Siddique claimed a career-best six for 52 as Gazi Group Cricketers secured a 51-run win over Brothers Union in the last round of league phase of the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League at the BKSP-4 on Sunday.

Gazi Group, who already secured their spot in the Super League, posted 301 in 50 overs thanks to Shamsur Rahman (84 off 90), Salman Hossain (51 off 27), and Shamim Mia (42 off 42).

Sumon Khan took four for 64 for Brothers, who needed a win to avoid relegation league.

Their chase started well as Mahfijul Islam (55 off 54) and Zahiduzzaman added 101 runs for the second wicket. But Mahfijul鈥檚 wicket triggered a collapse as Brothers lost their nine wickets for 125 runs to get all out for 250 in 43.1 overs.

Leg spinner Wasi led the attack, becoming the second bowler of this season to take six wickets, also achieving his career-best bowling figures in his 13-match career.

Zahiduzzaman smashed 122 off 92 balls with 17 fours and two sixes but couldn鈥檛 take Brothers over the line.

Partex Sporting Club stunned Dhanmondi Sports Club as they won by two wickets at BKSP-3.

Yasir Ali (90) and Moin Khan (80) lifted Dhanmondi from a precarious position of 40-6 after being asked to bat first. The duo added 139 for the seventh wicket as Dhanmondi managed 229 in 49 overs.

Partex鈥檚 run chase also suffered early blows as they lost four for 44 runs. But captain Ahrar Amin led them to victory with his unbeaten knock of 85 off 126, with the help of Sabbir Rahman (47) and Muktar Ali (30).

The win wasn鈥檛 enough for Partex as they already fell in the relegation league with Brothers and Shinepukur Cricket Club, but it meant Shinepukur鈥檚 relegation.

Dhanmondi, however, remained safe but couldn鈥檛 reach the Super League.

At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Agrani Bank beat Legends of Rupganj by 89 runs. Both teams, however, had already confirmed the Super League.

After being asked to bat first, Agrani Bank posted 306-6 in 50 overs thanks to the contributions from their top-order batters.

Shadman Islam (87), Imranuzzaman (50), and Amite Hasan (59) all reached fifty, while Marshall Ayub scored 48 off 36 balls.

However, no batter from Rupganj reached fifty, as Mahmudul Hasan top-scored with 33. They got all out for 217 in 40.1 overs.

Robiul Haque took four for 40 runs, while Shohidul Islam and Arif Ahmed took two wickets each.
