The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology held its 138th syndicate meeting at the Syndicate Room of the university in Chattogram on Sunday.
The meeting was presided over by the syndicate chairman and vice-chancellor of CUET, Professor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, said a press release.
Also present at the time were Chattogram divisional commissioner Md Ziauddin, Chittagong University professor Md Sekandar Chowdhury, education ministry additional secretary Md Humayun Kabir, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology professor Md Aynal Haque, Jahangirnagar University professor Mohammad Zahidur Rahman and DBL Group director Md Firoz Khannun Faraji.
CUET registrar for additional duty Professor Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir served as member secretary in the meeting.
The new members are CUET鈥檚 dean of the faculty of architecture and planning Professor Muhammad Rashidul Hasan, dean of the faculty of electrical and computer engineering Professor Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, director of the institute of river, harbour and environmental science, Professor Asiful Haque, director of the institute of information and communication technology, Professor Mohammad Mashiul Haque, professor of the department of mathematics, Sunil Dhar, professor of the department of humanities Mohammad Mostafa Kamal and the external members are retired director general of TSC and DMD Khan Ataur Rahman and chairman of the Chattogram secondary and higher secondary education board Professor Ilias Uddin Ahmed.
