The police on Monday recovered the bodies of a couple from their home at village Purba Karnakathi under sadar upazila in Barishal.
The deceased are Rahat Hawlader, 29, and his wife Lamia Akter, 19.
According to locals, Rahat鈥檚 relatives found the door of his house closed from inside at about 8:00am and became suspicious about anything wrong.聽
They then peeped through the window of the house and saw Rahat hanging from a ceiling fan and his wife鈥檚 body on the bed in the room.聽
The neighbours then informed the matter to the police, they said.聽
Barishal Port Police Station officer-in-charge Rafiqul Islam said that the couple used to lock in quarrels frequently over different family matters.
鈥業nitially, we believe that they committed suicide. However, the matter can be confirmed after receiving the post-mortem report,鈥� he said.聽
