The Super Specialised Hospital of Bangladesh Medical University launched both outpatient and inpatient services for the liver patients.
The hospital authority initiated the admission of liver patients under the indoor patient department, said a BMU press release on Tuesday.
As part of the initiative, specialist consultation services for liver patients are now available in the Hepatology Outpatient Department every day from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, excluding Fridays and public holidays.
An initiative is underway to establish full-scale liver transplant services through the combined efforts of the Hepatobiliary Surgery and Liver Transplant Department. Additionally, regular follow-up consultations are provided for patients who have undergone liver transplants.
For other specialties鈥攊ncluding surgical oncology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, liver transplant, colorectal surgery, plastic surgery, endocrine surgery, and general surgery鈥攕pecialist consultations are available in two shifts: from 10:00am to 1:00pm and again from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, excluding Fridays and public holidays.
